House Rules for a Comfortable Stay
Cleaning
Clean up so it's nice for the next person. If you don't want to do it, you can contact Isabel for cleaning services at +34624328933.
  • Dispose of all trash before departing.
  • Empty the fridge of perishable foods.
  • Clean surfaces, kitchen doors, etc., from stains.
  • If no one is staying after you, make sure also that the kettle, coffee machine, etc., are emptied of water to avoid limescale buildup.
  • Vacuum and mop the floors.
  • Wash the bedsheets and towels (at 60°C) and hang them to dry. If you're short on time, just put them in the washing machine.
  • Don't close the washing machine door if it's wet inside to avoid mold.
  • The dishwasher works better with the 75°C program due to the calc in the water.
  • Don't leave the AC, heating, or lights on when you leave.
  • Clean the bathrooms with anti-scale products.
  • Check if any common goods are needed if you've had excessive use.
Important
  • Don't leave balcony doors open when you are not present. This neighborhood, as well as our building, is known for robberies through balconies.
  • Don't leave the key in the lock. You may lock other people out, and there is a risk of accidentally locking yourself out and having to call a locksmith

Where is?
Bedsheets and Towels
In the closet of the second large bedroom, you'll find bedsheets and towels organized in separate zipper bags.
Keys
The keys are usually with Gignas, Isa, or Tamsi. Please arrange the handover before arrival.
AC Switches
There is one in the living room that controls the kitchen/living room area and another in the main bedroom that controls all the bedrooms. Please note that the smallest bedroom gets significantly colder compared to the larger ones, especially if you have guests over.
Water Boiler
The water boiler is located in the hall behind the dividing doors. It also controls the AC. If the AC is running at full capacity, the boiler will switch to energy-saving mode, and you may need to manually turn the water heating back on.

Trash
Since large containers aren't feasible in the narrow streets, a manual collection service is in place. Residents are required to place their waste bags on the street in front of their building between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM. The collection occurs nightly, including Sundays.

However, we have a set of large containers located near Via Laietana, and it is highly encouraged to use them when possible. Barcelona employs a color-coded system for waste separation
  • Brown Bin: Organic waste (e.g., food scraps, coffee grounds)
  • Blue Bin: Paper and cardboard
  • Green Bin: Glass
  • Yellow Bin: Plastics, cans, and cartons
  • Gray Bin: Residual waste (non-recyclable items)
